<br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 40.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (2006), BY AMENDING APPENDIX A, SECTION 40.1-9.7 <br />AND REPEALING APPENDIX B, SECTION 703(H), PERTAINING TO PARKING <br />REQUIREMENTS IN THE DOWNTOWN, Dl DISTRICT AND SUB-DISTRICTS AND <br />THE UPTOWN, D2, FORM-BASED CODE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br />1. That Section 40.1-9.7 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be <br />amended as follows: <br />Section 40.1-9.7. Parking. <br />No off-street parking or loading facility shall be required for those properties zoned T4, <br />TS or T6 and which are located downtown, north of Interstate 264. Where parking or loading is <br />provided, parking shall be designed in accordance with the requirements of Section 40.1-5 of this <br />Ordinance, with the exception of Section 40.1-5.1(E) and (F). Parking in the T3 district and T4 <br />district south of Interstate 264 shall be in accordance with the number of spaces required in Table <br />40.1-5.1(E) (2). Single family residences are exempt from the 30 foot parking setback contained <br />in this section. <br />2. That Section 703 of Appendix B to Chapter 40.1 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be amended by repealing Subsection H: <br />703. Scope of Regulations <br />3.
