<br /> <br />URDINANCE NO.2~~?, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$5,218 IN GRANT FUNDING FROM THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC <br />SAFETY ADMINISTRATION OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION THROUGH THE VIRGINIA HIGHWAY SAFETY <br />OFFICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS <br />FUND TO BE USED BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT TO <br />INCREASE THE USE OF VEHICLE OCCUPANT RESTRAINTS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts grant funding in the amount of$5,218 from the <br />National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the U.S. Department of <br />Transportation and appropriates said amount in the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund for use by <br />the Portsmouth Police Department to increase the use of vehicle occupant restraints. <br /> <br />2. That an in-kind match of $2,609 is required for the grant. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and in the <br />FY 2013-14 Grants Fund are increased by $5,218. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 24,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
