<br />OROlHANCE liD. .~f 9..L3~~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $73,140 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS FUNDS FOR <br />USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO <br />ASSIST IN SECURING EMPLOYMENT FOR CLIENTS WITH MULTIPLE <br />EMPLOYMENT BARRIERS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia; <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts, as subrecipient of a grant to the Virginia Beach <br />Department of Social Services, grant funding in the amount of $73,140 from the <br />Virginia Department of Social Services and appropriates said funds in the FY 2013-14 <br />Grants Fund for use by the Portsmouth Department of Social Services for clients with <br />multiple employment barriers. <br /> <br />2. That no local cash match is required for the grant. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and in the <br />FY 2013-14 Grants Fund are increased by $73,140. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 24,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
