<br />'u:\RD1UAlIl"t un 2013;:-57 <br />U,t\l1bt flU. 1 H a1 "If .,Jl- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT A VIRGINIA LITTER AND RECYCLING <br />GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $16,783 FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT <br />OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY AND TO APPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS IN <br />THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS FUND. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a Virginia Litter and Recycling grant in the amount <br />of $16,783 from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and appropriates said <br />funds in the FY 2013-14 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That the grant funds shall be used for ongoing education and public <br />outreach efforts in the community to help keep the City clean and to protect the <br />environment. <br /> <br />3. That no local match is required as a condition of the grant. <br /> <br />4. That the estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and the <br />FY 13-14 Grants Fund are increased by $16,783. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 12,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
