<br />ORDINANCE MO..~2. ~}JJ ~j>, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $159,156 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS FUND FOR ACQUISITION OF <br />SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT FOR PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $159,156 from the U.S. <br />Department of Homeland Security and appropriates said amount in the FY 2013-14 Grants <br />Fund to for the acquisition of surveillance equipment for the Portsmouth Police Department. <br /> <br />2. That a 25% City match of $39,789 is required as a condition of the grant, and <br />the transfer of said amount from the FY 2013-14 Donations Fund is hereby authorized. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and in the FY <br />2013-14 Grants Fund are increased by $$159,156. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the city of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />October 22, 2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
