<br />ORDINANCE NO..2.q,!};23~, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT <br />PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,992 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />FUNDS IN THE FY 2013-14 GRANTS FUND TO PROVIDE EQUIPMENT, <br />SUPPLIES, AND TRAINING IN SUPPORT OF THE CITY'S COMPREHENSIVE <br />EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLAN. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $57,992 from the Virginia <br />Department of Emergency Management and appropriates said amount in the FY 2013-14 <br />Grants Fund to provide equipment, supplies, and training in support of the City's <br />Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. <br /> <br />2. That an in-kind City match is required as a condition of the grant. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2013-14 Operating Budget and in the FY <br />2013-14 Grants fund are increased by $57,992. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the city of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on <br />October 22,2013. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
