<br />ORDUiANCE NO. 2011-7~.. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE A GRANT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $73,750 FROM APPROPRIATED FUNDS IN THE FY 2011-12 GENERAL FUND TO <br />THE CENTER FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, INC., FOR THE PURPOSES OF BUSINESS <br />RETENTION. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to make a grant in the amount of$73,750 to the <br />Center for Community Development, Inc., a regional not-for-profit development group, for the purpose of <br />business retention. <br /> <br />2. That the source of the grant shall be funds previously appropriated in the FY 2011-12 General <br /> <br />Fund. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on November 22, <br /> <br />2011. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
