<br />ORDINAt.reE NO.20~1-~<~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,800 FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN <br />THE FY 2011-12 GRANTS FUND TO ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT <br />AND TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR CITIZEN CORPS PROGRAMS COORDINATED <br />THROUGH THE CITY'S LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE/CITIZEN CORPS <br />ADVISORY COUNCIL. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant in the amount of $20,800 from the Virginia Department of Emergency <br />Management and appropriates said funds in the FY 2011-12 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That said grant funds shall be used to acquire additional supplies and equipment and to provide <br />training for Citizen Corps programs coordinated through the City's Local Emergency Planning Committee/ <br />Citizens Corps Advisory Council. <br /> <br />3. That no local match is required for receipt ofthe grant funds. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2011-12 Grants Fund are increased by $20,800. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on November 22, <br /> <br />2011. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
