<br />ORDINANCE NO.2 0 1 J .-;tW ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,341.12 <br />FROM THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT <br />OF JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2011-12 <br />GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE <br />BULLETPROOF VESTS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006): <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $3,341.12 from the Bureau <br />of Justice Assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice and appropriates said sum in the <br />FY 2011-12 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That said funds shall be used to reimburse the City for 50% of the cost of <br />purchasing bulletproof vests for Police Department and Sheriffs Department personnel <br />working on the streets. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />That a 50% cash match is required for receipt of the grant funds. <br /> <br />4. <br />$3,341.12. <br /> <br />That estimated revenues in the FY 2011-12 Grants Fund are increased by <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on November 22, 2011. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
