<br />OIlDl tlO.3.2J..L::I?_" <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $44,450 RECEIVED BY THE <br />CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT FROM THE LIBRARY OF VIRGINIA AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2011-12 GRANTS FUND. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia that: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $44,450 from the Library of <br />Virginia for use by the Clerk of the Circuit Court and appropriates said sum in the FY 2011-12 Grants <br />Fund. <br /> <br />2. The grant funds shall be used to convert and index chancery order books in order to <br />provide greater public accessibility to the chancery records. <br /> <br />3. The grant requires no local match. <br /> <br />4. Estimated revenues in the FY 2011-12 Grants Fund are hereby increased by $44,450. <br /> <br />5. This ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held on October 25, <br /> <br />2011. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
