<br />ORDINANCE NO. 2011-74 <br /> <br />ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $120,000 IN FEDERAL <br />HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION FUNDS FROM THE VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS <br />IN THE FY 2011-12 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND FOR A NEW URBAN <br />SYSTEM HIGHWAY PROJECT TO PROVIDE CITYWIDE SIGNAL TIMING <br />OF THE CITY'S TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts the sum of $120,000 in Federal Highway <br />Administration Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Program funds from the <br />Virginia Department of Transportation and appropriates said monies in the FY 2011-12 <br />Capital Improvements Fund. <br /> <br />2. That the CMAQ funds will be used to provide citywide signal timing of <br />the City's traffic signal system. <br /> <br />3. That no City monetary match is required as conditions for said funds. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2011-12 Capital Improvements Fund <br />are increased by $120,000. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 11,2011. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
