<br /> <br />E 2010-10 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A MCKINNEY-VENTO HOMELESS <br />ASSISTANCE ACT SHELTER PLUS GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $401,413 <br />AND A MCKINNEY-VENTO HOMELESS ASSITANCE ACT SUPPORTIVE <br />HOUSING PROGRAM GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $69,013 FROM THE U.S. <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) AND <br />APPROPRIA TING SAID FUNDS TOTALING $470,425 IN THE FY 2009-2010 <br />GRANTS FUND FOR THE SHELTER PLUS CARE AND SUPPORTIVE <br />HOUSING PROGRAMS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act Shelter Plus <br />grant in the amount of $401,413 and a McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act <br />Supportive Housing Program grant in the amount of $69,013 from the U.S. Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and appropriates said funds totaling <br />$470,425 in the FY 2009-2010 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That a cash match of $17,350 is required for the Supportive Housing <br />Grant and will be provided by funds appropriated in the FY 2009-2010 Behavioral <br />Healthcare Services Fund. <br /> <br />3. That the funds shall be used for the Shelter Plus Care Grant and <br />Supportive Housing Programs. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2009-2010 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $470,425. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on February 23,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
