ORDINANCE NO" 2.0 1 Q - 9.3, AN ORDINANCE TO TRANSFER $1,808,439 FROM THE FY 2009-10 GENERAL FUND UNDESIGNA TED AND UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE TO VARIOUS FY 2010-11 OPERATING BUDGET FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF MAKING A ONE-TIME 3% BONUS PAYMENT TO GENERAL WAGE CITY EMPLOYEES, EXCEPT COUNCIL APPOINTEES, AND TO THE EMPLOYEES OF CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS, EXCEPT THE INDIVIDUAL CONSTITUTIONAL OFFICERS, AND A ONE-TIME 1.5% BONUS PAYMENT TO RETIREES OF THE PORTSMOUTH SUPPLEMENTAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE FIRE AND POLICE RETIREMENT SYSTEM. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the sum of$I,808,439 is transferred from the FY 2009-10 General Fund undesignated and unreserved fund balance and appropriated in the following FY 2010-11 Operating Budget Funds in the designated amounts: General Fund General Fund Behavioral Healthcare Services Fund City Garage Fund Comprehensive Services Fund Information Technology Fund Golf Fund Parking Authority Fund Public Utility Fund Risk Management . Fund Stormwater Management Fund Social Services Fund W asteManagement Fund $789,495 for active employees $ 360,302 for retirees $128,037 $ 35,755 $ 4,398 $ 49,077 $ 18,732 $ 6,804 $125,559 $ 4,284 $ 16,671 $209,637 $ 59,688 2. That the appropriated funds shall be used for a one-time 3% bonus payment to general wage City employees, except Council appointees, and to the employees of Constitutional officers, except the individual Constitutional officers, and a one-time 1.5% bonus payment to retirees of the Portsmouth Supplemental Retirement System and the Fire and Police Retirement System. 3. That estimated revenues in the above FY 2010-11 Operating Budget Funds are increased by the amounts appropriated above. 4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption.
