<br />..iDDI'" U1W't un 2010.,..81 <br />un I1J'\mIL wu. . ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,877.52 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $2,346.90 IN THE FY 2010-20111 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE BICYCLE <br />SAFETY PROGRAM AT SAFETY TOWN. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That accepts a grant in the amount of $1 ,877.52 from the Virginia <br />Department of Motor Vehicles and appropriates said sum in the FY 2010-2011 Grants <br />Fund for use by the Portsmouth Police Department for the bicycle safety program at <br />Safety Town. <br /> <br />2. That a 20% local cash match of $469.38 is required for the grant award <br />and will be contributed by Portsmouth's Safety Town. <br /> <br />3. That the sum of $2,346.90 is appropriated in the FY 2010-2011 Grants <br />Fund, and estimated revenues in the FY 2010-2011 Grants Fund are increased by <br />$2,346.90. <br /> <br />.4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 28,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
