<br />ORDINANCE 10.2010...80. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A 2009 CITIZENS CORPS AND CITIZENS <br />PREPAREDNESS GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,800 FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2010-2011 GRANTS FUND. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $20,800 from the Virginia <br />Department of Emergency Management. <br /> <br />2. That no local match is required, and that the funds shall be used by the <br />Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services for the Portsmouth Citizens Corps <br />Program to acquire additional supplies and equipment and to provide training to ensure <br />the future of the CERT, Neighborhood Watch, MRC, and PARES programs. <br /> <br />3. That said funds are appropriated in the FY 2010-2011 Grants Fund and <br />estimated revenues in said Fund are increased by $20,800. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 28,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
