<br />ORDINANCE 10. 2010-78. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $47,289 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2010-2011 GRANTS FUND TO <br />BE USED BY THE POLICE DEPART~ENT FOR COMPREHENSIVE SPEED, <br />DUI, AND PASSENGER AND CMV OCCUPANT RESTRAINT <br />ENFORCEMENT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That accepts a grant in the amount of$47,289 from the Virginia <br />Department of Motor Vehicles and appropriates said sum in the FY 2010-2011 Grants <br />Fund for use by the Portsmouth Police Department for comprehensive speed, driving <br />under the influence (DUI), and passenger and commercial motor vehicle (CMV) <br />occupant restraint laws. <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenues in the FY 2010-2011 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $47,289. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 28,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
