<br />IJROINAHCE IO~ 2010 -77 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $141,643 <br />FROM THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT <br />OF JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2010-2011 <br />GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR EQUIPMENT <br />AND TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $141 ,643 from the Bureau <br />of Justice Assistance of the U.S. Department of Justice and appropriates said sum in the <br />FY 2010-2011 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That said funds shall be used by the Police Department for equipment and <br />technology initiatives. <br /> <br />3. That no City cash match is required as a condition for award of the grant. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2010-2011 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $141,643. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 28,2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
