<br />ORDI_IO.~olo-76.... <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA (2006) BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION 22-116 TO AUTHORIZE <br />PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS FOR THE SOUTHERN STATES POLICE BENEVOLENT <br />ASSOCIATION, INC~,. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006) be, and hereby is, <br />amended and reordained by adopting a new section, number 22-166, as follows: <br /> <br />Section 22-166. Payroll deductions for the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />Upon written request of any employee, the Chief Financial Officer shall cause to be made <br />a payroll deduction payable to the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Inc. in the <br />amount authorized by the employee. Any such deduction may be terminated or modified by <br />written authorization of the employee. <br /> <br />2. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on <br />September 28, 2010. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
