<br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />10.. 2_~~J..: 11,3 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,756.15 <br />FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE-BUREAU OF JUSTICE <br />ASSIST ANCE AND APPROPRIATING SAID FUNDS IN THE FY 2009-2010 <br />GRANTS FUND TO REIMBURSE THE CITY FOR BULLETPROOF VESTS <br />FOR POLICE AND SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia (2006): <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of$7,756.15 from the U.S. <br />Department of Justice-Bureau of Justice Assistance and appropriates said sum in the FY <br />2009-2010 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />2. That said funds shall be used to reimburse the City for 50% of the cost of <br />purchasing bulletproof vests for Police and Sheriffs Department personnel. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2009-2010 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $7,756.15. <br /> <br />4.
