<br /> <br />..2~~~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING IN THE FY 2009-2010 CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS FUND THE SUM OF $300,000 RECEIVED FROM THE <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT A TION HIGHWAY SAFETY <br />IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM TO REPLACE THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />SYSTEM AT HIGH AND COURT STREETS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the sum of $300,000 received from the Virginia Department of <br />Transportation Highway Safety Improvements Program is appropriated in the FY 2009- <br />2010 Capital Improvements Fund; and <br /> <br />2. That said funds shall be used for the replacement of the traffic signal <br />system at High and Court Streets; and <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenue in the FY 2009-2010 Capital Improvements Fund <br />is increased by $300,000. <br /> <br />4. That the cost of this project will be borne totally by VDOT as a <br />reimbursement of project costs expended by the City of Portsmouth, and that no matching <br />funds are required from City. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 27,2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
