'~ . <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $159,253 <br />FROM THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT <br />OF JUSTICE FOR OPERATIONAL AND TECHNOLOGY FUNDING FOR THE <br />ADUL T DRUG COURT PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant in the amount of$159,253 from the Bureau of <br />Justice Assistance ofthe U.S. Department of Justice for use by the Portsmouth Police <br />Department for operational and technology funding for the Adult Drug Court Program; <br />and <br /> <br />2. That said funds are appropriated in the FY 2009-2010 Grants Fund, and <br />estimated revenues in said Fund are increased by $159,253. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council ofthe City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 22,2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
