<br />"Olll- IYlul\t 10 2009~8 - <br />U" lU'ftltbL ., r-~,lI. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $57,000 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OFFICE OF INNOVATION AND <br />IMPROVEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2009- <br />2010 GRANTS FUND FOR USE FOR THE 2009 "SMART ART" AFTER- <br />SCHOOL PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant in the amount of $57,000 from the U.S. Department <br />of Education Office of Innovation and Improvement to be used by the City's Courthouse <br />Galleries and the Portsmouth Public Schools for the 2009 "Smart Art" Program. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $57,000 is appropriated in the FY 2009-2010 Grants <br />Fund, and estimated revenues in said Fund are increased by $57,000. <br /> <br />3. That no local matching funds are required. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on July 14,2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
