<br />o <br /> <br /> <br />IO~~~~~~~,~ .. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $884,000 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND <br />APPROPRIATING $3,995,000 IN THE FY 2008-2009 CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENTS FUND FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AT <br />VICTORY VILLAGE IN THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City Council hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $884,000 <br />from the Virginia Department of Transportation to be used for infrastructure <br />improvements associated with the new Tidewater Community College (TCC) at Victory <br />Village. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $3,995,000, which includes said grant funds and funds to <br />be received from the Master Developer of the TCC project, is appropriated in the FY <br />2008-2009 Capital Improvements Fund for said infrastructure improvements. <br /> <br />3, That revenues in FY 2008-2009 Capital Improvements Fund are increased <br />by $3,995,000. <br /> <br />4, That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on May 26, 2009. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
