<br />lIRO,. .2008;.,61 <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE $1,382,100 IN THE FY 2008-2009 PUBLIC <br />UTILIITIES ENTERPRISE FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY <br />DROUGHT RAW WATER FROM THE CITY OF NORFOLK. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the sum of $1 ,382, 100 is appropriated in the FY 2008-2009 Public <br />Utilities Enterprise Fund for the purchase of emergency drought water from the City of <br />Norfolk, pursuant to the Emergency Raw Water Sales Contract, dated October 4,2002, <br />between the City of Portsmouth and the City of Norfolk. <br /> <br />2. That the source of said appropriation shall be previously-unappropriated <br />and unrestricted retained earnings in said Fund. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 9,2008. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
