<br />ORDiNANCE It1~~9;. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,099 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2008-2009 GRANTS FUND FOR <br />USE BY THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR EQUPMENT, JOB <br />FAIR REGISTRATION, AND TRAVEL. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it hereby accepts a grant in the amount of $7,099 from the Virginia <br />Department of Criminal Justice Services for use by the Police Department for equipment, <br />job fair registration, and travel related to police recruitment and retention. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That the sum of $7,099 is appropriated in the FY 2008-2009 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. <br />by $7,099. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />That estimated revenues in the FY 2008-2009 Grants Fund are increased <br /> <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 9, 2008. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
