<br />GRD1NAHCE 1O~0.:::~.. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $78,207 FROM <br />THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY AND APPROPRIATING <br />$104,277 IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS FUND FOR TECHNOLOGY AND <br />EQUIPMENT FOR THE PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT MARINE <br />PATROL. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in <br />the amount of $78,207 for technology and equipment for the Portsmouth Police <br />Department Marine Patrol. <br /> <br />2. That the grant requires a local match of $26,070, and that the source of <br />said sum will be the City of Portsmouth Donations Fund. <br /> <br />3. That the total sum of $104,277 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2007- <br />2008 Grants Fund. <br /> <br />4. That estimated revenues in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $104,277. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 23, 2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
