<br />ORIIIWEE __2007-89 .' <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 FROM <br />THE VIRGINIA COMMISSION FOR THE ARTS AND APPROPRIATING THE <br />SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS FUND FOR THE ARTS <br />LOCAL CHALLENGE GRANT AWARDS CATEGORY OF THE SEAWALL <br />ARTS SHOW. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts in the <br />amount of $5,000 for use for the Arts Local Challenge Grant Awards category of the <br />Seawall Arts Show. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $5,000 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 <br />Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $5,000. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on October 9, 2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
