<br />ftIINUIUI'f. 2007.~8 <br />""".....-. ~ A 1 JJ "'" <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $156,813 <br />FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SAME AMOUNT IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS <br />FUND FOR THE DRUG COURT PROGRAM AND FOR POLICE <br />TECHNOLOGY AND EQUIPMENT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That it accepts a grant from the United States Department of Justice in the <br />amount of $156,813 for the Drug Court Program and for use by the Portsmouth Police <br />Department for technology and equipment. <br /> <br />2. That the sum of $156,813 is hereby appropriated in the FY 2007-2008 <br />Grants Fund. <br /> <br />3. That estimated revenues in the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund are increased <br />by $156,813. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 25,2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
