<br />0RI)lMAtI',( It 200 7 - 7 7 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $175,000 <br />FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND APPROPRIATING SAID <br />AMOUNT IN THE FY 2007-2008 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE WEED AND SEED PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth accepts a grant in the amount of <br />$175,000 from the U.S. Department of Justice and appropriates said amount in <br />the FY 2007-2008 Grants Fund for use by the Police Department for the Weed <br />and Seed Program. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2007-2008 Grants <br />Fund is increased by $175,000. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held on July 24,2007. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
