ORotNAIICE 10- 2007~()4_ ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-07-08 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the portion of the zoning map attached to and made a part of the City of Portsmouth Zoning Ordinance which now zones as Downtown D-I-R (Residential), the property described in Petition for Zoning Amendment Number Z-07-08, is hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as Downtown D-I-M (Mixed Use), and that said property is hereby zoned as Downtown D-I-M (Mixed Use). 2. That the property affected by this ordinance by being zoned from Downtown D-I-R (Residential) to Downtown D-I-M (Mixed Use )is furthermore described as follows: Z-07-08 ALL THAT certain piece or parcel of land, with the improvements thereon, situated in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia and described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east side of Washington Street ninety-one (91) feet nine (9) inches south from the southeast intersection of Washington and county Streets; thence running south on Washington Street forty-nine (49) feet nine (9) inches, more or less, to the lot of W. T. Pope, deceased; thence east one hundred eighty (180) feet; thence north twenty-eight (28) [previous deed erroneously shows (29)] feet three (3) inches; thence west ninety (90) feet; thence north twenty-one (21) feet six (6) inches; and thence west ninety (90) feet to the point of beginning. Together with an easement in a lane two and one-half (2- 1/2) feet wide adjoining the above described property on the north as set forth and reserved in deed from Hiram R. Plummer and wife, to Mary Alice Plummer, dated November 10, 1925, and recorded in Deed Book 96-B, page 312, in the Clerk's Office of the Circuit Court for the City ofPorttsmouth, Virginia. 3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held on June 26, 2007. Teste: City Clerk
