<br />vl\l.IlNAJi:E MO.20,06(~8 . <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $272,680 <br />FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006- <br />2007 GRANTS FUND BUDGET FOR LEAD-BASED PAINT HAZARD <br />REDUCTION IN CITY RESIDENCES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council ol'the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts grant funds in the amount of <br />$272,680 from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund Budget to be used to reduce <br />lead-based paint hazards in city residences. <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenues in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund Budget are <br />increased by $272,680. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on November 28,2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
