<br />BROIffANCE IOja~ 6 <br />... <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING $229,559 IN ADDITIONAL TEMPORARY <br />ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILY (TANF) PROGRAM FUNDS AND <br />APPROPRIATING THE SAME AM01INT IN THE FY 2006-2007 SOCIAL <br />SERVICES FUND OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE VIRGINIA INITIATIVE <br />FOR EMPLOYMENT NOT WELFARE (VIEW) PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts additional Temporary <br />Assistance for Needy Family (T ANF) Program funds in the amount of $229,559 and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2006-2007 Social Services Fund Operating Budget to <br />be used for the Virginia Initiative for Employment (VIEW) Program. <br /> <br />2. That estimated revenues in the FY 2006-2007 Social Services Fund <br />Operating Budget are increased by $229,559. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth.
