<br />oRDItWG. 2 00 6.,.7_8 ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHALLENGE <br />GRANT FROM THE VIRGINIA COMMISSION FOR THE ARTS IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $5,000 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006- <br />2007 GRANTS FUND BUDGET TO BE USED FOR THE COST OF <br />PRESENTING AWARDS IN THE 36TH ANNUAL SEAWALL ART SHOW. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a Local Government <br />Challenge grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts in the amount of $5,000 and <br />appropriates said amount in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund budget for the cost of <br />presenting awards in the 36th Annual Seawall Art Show. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund <br />budget is increased by $5,000. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 22, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
