<br />_. 2006-77 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE HAMPTON ROADS <br />PLANNING DISTRICT COMMISSION IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000 AND <br />APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006-2007 GRANTS FUND <br />BUDGET TO PURCHASE RESPONSE EQUIPMENT TO BE USED FOR <br />TERRORIST EVENTS AND MAN-MADE OR NATURAL DISASTERS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant from the Hampton <br />Roads Planning District Commission in the amount of $10,000 and appropriates said <br />amount in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund budget for the purchase of temperature control <br />devices to prepare the City for terrorist events and man-made and natural disasters. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund <br />budget is increased by $10,000. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 22, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
