<br />viUJltWIl18 2006-73_ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE COMMONWEALTH OF <br />VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $7,300 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006- <br />2007 GRANTS FUND BUDGET FOR POLICE RECRUITING EQUIPMENT AND <br />EXPENSES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services in the amount of <br />$7,300 and appropriates said amount in the FY Grants Fund budget for police recruiting <br />equipment and expenses. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund <br />budget is increased by $7,300. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 22, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
