<br />u"a200~~72. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $45,625 FROM <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE SERVICES AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY 2006- <br />2007 GRANTS FUND FOR THE V-STOP PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE <br />COMMONWEALTH'S ATTORNEY' OFFICE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth accepts a grant in the amount of$45,625 from <br />the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriates <br />said amount in the 2006-2007 Grants Fund for the identification and funding of services <br />for the V -STOP Program that provides support, training, and education and for the <br />prosecution of violent crime against women. <br /> <br />2. That a City match of$15,208 has previously been appropriated. <br /> <br />3. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund is <br />increased by $45,625. <br /> <br />4. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City ofPorlsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 8, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
