<br />uRllllWlZ __ 2 O~.:. 71_ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES GRANT IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $317,522 AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE FY <br />2006-2007 GRANTS FUND FOR THE VICTIM WITNESS ASSISTANCE <br />PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant from the <br />Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services in the amount of <br />$317,522 and appropriates said amount in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund for the Victim <br />Witness Assistance Program. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2006-2007 Grants Fund is <br />increased by $317,522. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on August 8, 2006. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
