<br />. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO.2005-15 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $230,876 <br />FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY THROUGH THE <br />COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY <br />MANAGEMENT AND APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT IN THE GRANTS <br />FUND FOR THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TERRORISM PREVENTION <br />PROGRAM. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant from the U.S. <br />Department of Homeland Security through the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of <br />Emergency Management in the amount of $230,876 and appropriates said amount in the <br />Grants Fund for the Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program. <br /> <br />2. That the City's estimated revenue in the FY 2004-2005 Operating Budget <br />. is increased by $230,876. <br /> <br />3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on February 22, 2005. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />. <br />
