<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />U'\UUWi~t thlf005-14_ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO REPROGRAM $600,000 WITHIN THE 2004-2005 PUBLIC <br />UTILITIES CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR PRELIMINARY <br />ENGINEERING AND DESIGN OF WATER AND SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN <br />THE PRENTIS PARK NEIGHBORHOOD. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />I. That the City of Portsmouth is required to provide a $600,000 cash match <br />under the terms of a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant for $241,000 to fund <br />preliminary engineering and design of water and sewer improvements in a portion of the <br />Prentis Park neighborhood; and <br /> <br />2. That the City has identified the required matching funds in Budget Code <br />5-39-700-79500-74805 (Suction Well Rehabilitation) of the 2004-2005 Public Utilities <br />Capital Improvement Fund; and <br /> <br />3. That the City has determined that the reprogramming of those funds to <br />Budget Code 5-39-700-79500-75939 (Infrastructure Improvements) within the 2004- <br />2005 Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund will be in the best interest of the City <br />and will enable it to proceed with the Prentis Park project, and <br /> <br />4. That the reprogramming of funds totaling $600,000 within the 2004-2005 <br />Public Utilities Capital Improvement Fund for the purpose and in the manner described <br />above is hereby authorized pursuant to the requirements of City Code section 12-5. <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on February 22,2005. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
