<br />ORDINANCE NO.2005-101 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR <br />VEHICLES GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 AND APPROPRIATING <br />SAID AMOUNT IN THE 2005-2006 GRANTS FUND FOR USE BY THE <br />PORTSMOUTH POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR ENFORCEMENT OF DRIVING <br />UNDER THE INFLUENCE (DUI), SPEEDING AND OCCUPANT PROTECTION <br />LAWS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br />1. That the City of Portsmouth hereby accepts a grant from the Virginia <br />Department of Motor Vehicles in the amount of $20,000 and appropriates said amount in <br />the 2005-2006 Grants Fund for use by the Portsmouth Police Department for enforcement <br />of driving under the influence (DUI), speeding, and occupant protection laws. <br /> <br />2. <br />$20,000. <br /> <br />That estimated revenue in the FY 2005-2006 Grants Fund is increased by <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held <br />on November 22, 2005. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />
