<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />f) current or recent medications such as anticoagulants that thin the blood or <br />interfere with blood clotting; and <br />g) any other information that may affect the client's capacity to heal from <br />body art. <br /> <br />If the body artist becomes aware that the client has any of the above conditions, or if any <br />information is disclosed which creates reasonable questions about the client's capacity to <br />safely undergo a body art procedure; then the body artist should recommend that the <br />client seek medical advice prior to receiving a body art procedure. <br /> <br />(18) After care instructions. Immediately after performing body art on a patron, the body <br />artist shall provide oral and written instructions advising the patron of proper care of the <br />affected area and shall instruct the patron to consult a physician at the first sign of <br />infection. <br /> <br />(19) Exposure Control Plan. Each establishment shall be required to develop an exposure <br />control plan for the protection of workers and patrons from bloodborne infections. This <br />plan shall include documentation of required immunizations, notification, documentation <br />and procedures for care of workers in the event of an exposure. This plan shall be subject <br />to approval by the Health Director, and it shall not be approved unless it meets with <br />reasonable public health standards. <br /> <br />Sec. 3-303. Operating requirements related to business practices and public policy. <br /> <br />A. No person shall work as a body artist in any location other than a body art studio. <br /> <br />B. Each body artist shall provide each client, prior to performing body art, a legible <br />written disclosure stating substantially as follows: <br /> <br />(1) Body art is an invasive procedure in which the skin is penetrated by a foreign object. <br /> <br />(2) If proper sterilization and antiseptic procedures are not followed by body artists, there <br />is a risk of transmission of blood borne pathogens and other infections, including, but not <br />limited to, human immunodeficiency viruses and hepatitis B or C viruses. <br /> <br />(3) Body art may cause allergic reactions in persons sensitive to dyes or the metals used <br />in ornamentation. <br /> <br />(4) Body art may involve discomfort or pain for which appropriate anesthesia cannot be <br />
