(j) Coniferous trees. The use of live or cut coniferous trees shall be prohibited in all <br />occupancies or structures, except one-and two-family dwellings, unless approved by the fire <br />marshal. <br /> <br /> (k) Artificial trees. Artificial trees may be used if they have been satisfactorily listed <br />as being fire resistant or retardant by a nationally recognized laboratory or agency and/or meet <br />with the approval of the tim marshal. <br /> <br /> (1) Signs and markings. Signs and markings to designate fire lanes as required by the <br />fire marshal shall be provided, installed and maintained by the property owner or his agent in a <br />method and manner approved by the fire marshal. <br /> <br /> (m) Illegal use: <br /> <br /> (5) This section may be enforced by the fire marshal, his deputies and/or assistants, <br />and by the city police department. <br /> <br /> (n) General provisions: <br /> <br /> (1) Any person or persons engaged in the business of selling, servicing and installing <br />portable fire extinguishers, fixed tim extinguishing systems or fire warning and detection <br />systems in this city shall be registered with the fire prevention bureau. Every applicant for <br />registration shall furnish the fire marshal with satisfactory proof of their qualifications to perform <br />any and all functions for which they have requested registration. <br /> <br /> (r) Storage areas. The markings of means of egress through storage areas may be <br />required as deemed necessary and appropriate by the fire marshal. It shall be the responsibility of <br />the owner or his agent or the occupant to mark and maintain such aisles as required. <br /> <br /> (t) Fire personnel required. In every theater, opera house or other building, or on <br />premises used for concerts, theatrical or operatic purposes, the seating capacity of which exceeds <br />five hundred (500) persons, at least one (1) experienced fire inspector, or as many as may be <br />required by the fire marshal, whose competence shall be approved by the fire chief, shall be on <br />duty during each performance and in charge of the fire protection equipment and maintenance of <br />exitways required in such buildings or on such premises. All costs and expenses relating to tiffs <br />duty shall be the responsibility of the operator, sponsor or promoter of such event. Failure to <br />comply with the requirement of this section shall constitute a Class 1 misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Sec. 13-103. Enforcement of article. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this article may be enforced by any member of the office of the fire <br />marshal or the police department. <br /> <br />Sec. 13-116.
