AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE FY 2004-05 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT <br />PROGRAM BY CREATING A NEW CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#96930-CITY/SCHOOLS JOINT FINANCIAL/HUMAN RESOURCE <br />MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND BY APPROPRIATING IN THE CAPITAL <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND THE SUM OF $936,486 FROM FY 2004-2005 FUNDS <br />FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY BY THE <br />SCHOOL BOARD FOR SAID PROJECT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the School Board of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia adopted a <br />resolution dated September 23, 2004 requesting the City Council to appropriate $936,486 <br />in the Capital Improvement Fund from appropriated FY 2004-2005 funds for educational <br />purposes for the purpose of funding new Capital Improvement Project #96930 - <br />City/Schools Joint Financial/Human Resource Management System. <br /> <br /> 2. That the FY 2004-05 Capital Improvement Fund is hereby amended by <br />appropriating $936,486 to said Fund. <br /> <br /> 3. That the source of funding is the transfer of appropriated FY 2004,2005 <br />funds for educational purposes authorized by the above-referenced School Board' <br />resolution. <br /> <br />4. That the City's estimated revenues are accordingly increased by $936,486 <br /> <br />5. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of adoption. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting <br />held on September 28, 2004. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
