AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY'S APPROVED FY 2004-2005 <br />BUDGET FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES AND APPROPRIATING THE <br />ADDITIONAL SUM OF $2,638,187 FOR SAID PURPOSES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the sum of $2,638,187, received by the School Board of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia in additional revenue since the City Council's appropriation of the <br />FY 2004-2005 school budget, is hereby appropriated to the School Board for educational <br />purposes; <br /> <br /> 2. That the City's estimated revenues are increased by the sum of <br />$2,638,187, and the City's FY 2004-2005 budget for educational purposes is amended <br />accordingly. <br /> <br /> 3. That this ordinance shall take effect on the date of its adoption. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia at a meeting held <br />on September 28, 2004. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
