AN ORDINANCE TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000 FROM <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR <br />VEHICLES AND TO APPROPRIATE SAID SUM IN THE GRANTS FUND FOR <br />OVERTIME PAY AND EQUIPMENT RELATED TO MOTOR VEHICLE CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City of Portsmouth accepts a grant in the amount Of $20,000 from <br />the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles for overtime pay and <br />equipment related to the enforcement of state and local motor vehicle codes; <br /> <br />purpose; <br /> <br />That the sum of $20,000 is appropriated in the Grants Fund for said <br /> <br />3. That the City's estimated revenues are increased by $20,000. <br /> <br />3.
