AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 17 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA (1988) BY AMENDING SECTION 17-75(a) <br />THEREOF PERTAINING TO RENTAL INSPECTION FEES; <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 17-75(a) of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, be <br />amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 17-75. Inspection fees. <br /> <br /> (a) Each applicant for a certificate of compliance required by this division for <br />a dwelling or dwelling unit shall pay a fee of $30.00 for an initial rental inspection <br />conducted prior to occupancy, $50.00 for an initial inspection conducted within five days <br />after occupancy, and $I00.00 for an initial inspection conducted after the fifth day of <br />occupancy. A fee of $50.00 shall be charged for each reinspection. <br /> <br /> 2.
