An accounting shall be made of the cost of such installation. If the deposit is less than such charge, the applicant shall pay the difference within thirty days, and if the deposit is more than such charge, the difference shall be refunded promptly. Failure of the applicant to pay any difference .between the deposit and the actual charge shall cause the applicant to be denied water service as provided for in section 38-88. Sec. 38-42. Sewer connection charges - Generally. (a) When connection is made to the city sewer, the following charges shall be made for each connection: (1) Residential; trailer parks: a. An availability fee of $150.00 shall be made for each dwelling unit and each common laundry room or like common facility which generates sewage in the case of apartments, condominiums or other multifamily structures. b. When the city performs the installation and connection, a connection fee equal to the greater of the actual cost of such connection plus twenty-five percent (25%) or $1,250.00 shall be made for each point of connection. The director shall estimate the connection fee including any applicable survey, design and restoration components, and the applicant shall deposit with the City the estimated connection fee before the work is done. An accounting shall be made of the cost of each installation. If the deposit is less than the actual connection fee, the applicant shall pay the difference within thirty days or have service denied until payment of any balance due is made. If the deposit is more than such charge, the difference shall be promptly refunded.
