Said collector shall furnish bond, with corporate surety, approved as to <br />form by the City Attorney, and as to surety by the City 5~nager, in the penalty of <br />twenty thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful performance of his official <br />duties as said collector and the proper payment to the city of all monzes so collected <br />by him or any of his deputies or assistants. <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1.46. Powers. <br /> <br /> For the purpose of collecting delinquent taxes due the city, the Delinquent <br />Tax Collector and any deputy of his, shall have all the powers which are now or may <br />hereafter be vested by law in the treasurer of the city ~n regard To the collection <br />of taxes. <br /> <br />Sec° 8-1.47. Bills for delinquent taxes zo be turned over rD collector. <br /> <br /> The City Treasurer shall turn over to the Delinquent Taxx Collector all <br />bills for delinquent real estate taxes which shall remain unpaid for one year after <br />the end of the year in which they became due and payable° <br /> <br /> The City Treasurer shall turn over to the Delinquent Tax Collector all bills <br />for delinquent personal property taxes which shall re, hain unpaid for six months after <br />the end of the year in which they became due and payable. <br /> <br />Sec° 8-1.48. Settlements with City Treasurer; statement of collections, <br /> <br /> The Delinquent Tax Collector shall settle with the City Treasurer daily, <br />paying to the City Treasurer the total amount collected by him and his deputies and <br />assistants, and shall at the same time submit to the City Treasurer and to the City <br />Auditor a statement of the taxes collected and any other collections, in such form <br />as the Director of Finance m~y prescribe. <br /> <br />Sec. 8-1.49. Installment collection of delinquent raxeso <br /> <br /> There shall be in the office of the Delinquent Tax Collector a system for <br />receiving deposits on account of unpaid city taxes on real estate in the hands of <br />said collector for collection. <br /> <br /> ~ne amount of any such deposit and the intervals at which such deposits will <br />be accepted shall be within the discretion of the Delinquent Tax Collector, and the <br /> <br /> <br />
