license tax of $50°00 £or the £irst $5,000. and $0.50 for each additional one <br />hundred dollars of his gross receipts, as hereinabove defined~ in said business, trade, <br /> <br />or occupation for the previous calendar year: <br /> (a) The business of operating: <br /> <br />A hotel. <br />A Turkish, Roman or other like bath or bath parlor, <br />An undertaker, embalmer. <br /> <br />(b) The business of: <br /> <br />Addressing letters or envelopes. <br />Bottle exchange~ <br />Cleaning chimneys, furnaces° <br />A correspondent establishment or bureau. <br />Dental laboratory~ <br />Exterminating rats, vermin, termites~ etc~ <br />Fumigating or disinfecting° <br />Furnishing house cleaning service° <br />Furnishing messenger service, except telephone or telegraph messenger <br /> <br />Fl%rnishing statistical service. <br /> Operating a kennel, or small animal hospital~ <br />A photograDher. <br />A Physicians~ registry, nurses' re§istryo <br /> Picture framing or El!ding. <br /> PrivaTe school (other than religious and non-profit). <br /> Renting any kind of ~angible personal property. <br /> Window cleaning. <br /> Renting or furnishing automatic washing (where there is ~ paid <br /> attendant on the premises at all times). <br /> Other personal service occupations. <br /> <br />_This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br /> <br />morals and safety, an emergency is declared to exist and it shall take effect from <br /> <br />its passage. <br /> <br /> AdoDtsd at · meetin~ of the City Council on June ~, 1959~ <br /> <br /> <br />
