AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE QUEEN STREET BETWEEN WATER AND CRAWFOPd) <br />STREETS ~kND CERTAIN LANES OR ALLEYS WITHIN THE SITE OF THE NEW <br />FEDERAL OFFICE BUILDING. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that <br />the hereinafter described portion of Queen Street and portions of certain <br />lanes or alleys, which lie within the site of the new federal office build- <br />ing, be, and the same are, hereby vacated and closed: <br /> <br />(a) Queen Street, from the west line of Water Streel <br /> to the east line of Crawford Street. <br /> <br />ku unnamed alley, 12½ feet in width, extending <br />from Crawford Street to Water Street, the south <br />line of which is approximately 160 feet north of <br />the north line of High Street. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />An unnamed alley, 10 feet in width, extending from <br />Crawford Street eastwardly approximately 190 feet, <br />the south line of which is parallel with and 100 <br />feet north of the north line of High Street. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />An unnamed alley, 6 feet in width, extending from <br />Queen Street (as extended before adoption of this <br />ordinance) northwardly approximately 55 feet, the <br />west line of which is parallel with and 108 feet, <br />more or less, east of the east line of CrawTord <br />Street. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting <br />held on Jtuue 20, 1960. <br /> <br />Tests: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
